A little bit about our company....

K.E. Dittmar Company was start in 1971 by our founder Kurt E. Dittmar and his wife Penelope Dittmar.  Kurt and his quality employees built the company from a basic repair company into a prominent home building company.   He then expanded the company into light commercial renovations (office remodeling and additions).    

After graduating from Marietta College, Kurt and Penny's son, Ben, joined K.E. Dittmar Company as an estimator and project manager.   Over the course of a few years Ben became the general manager.

     In 2005, Ben and Kurt started Monticello Cabinetry & Woodworking.  The cabinetry shop has allowed K.E. Dittmar Company to keep a majority of the building process in-house.  Ben states, "It has been a great addition to our business.  It allows us to keep the finish quality to the level we expect.  It has also allowed us to keep the project timelines in check.  However, I have to say that the nicest part of the cabinetry shop is being able to seemlessly change our designs/finishes or add cabinetry and trim, as needed, when the customer seeks those common, late project change order items."

     Today, Ben is the owner and President of K.E. Dittmar Company.   Ben is proud to continue in the path that his father Kurt began.  " We strive to make sure each customer is very pleased with our work.  To me this starts from the minute we begin the design-build process."   

     Ben has brought new technology to the company in order to better serve their customers.  " We offer 3-D renderings to our customers that have hired us to do their home, addition, full-house renovation or kitchen renovation.  We also offer 3-D print-outs and even 3-D video design walk-thru if the customer so desires".
